the sky is blue. Enough?"

Well, so it seems!

Walking for the other side of "Durbar Square"
 photo IMGP6561_zpsc753f14b.jpg
 photo IMGP6562_zps9f54962e.jpg
I´am really impressed about the wooden architecture here
 photo IMGP6563_zpsf0ed1ba8.jpg
 photo IMGP6564_zps58d640ed.jpg
For the museum this way?
 photo IMGP6565_zps2153d95b.jpg
 photo IMGP6566_zps344e1e47.jpg
Ah, yes, the entrance is well secured!
 photo IMGP6567_zps737a75b7.jpg
 photo IMGP6568_zps49ee15bb.jpg
And I wonder why my laptop talks spanish to me during the last days!
 photo IMGP6569_zps304ba824.jpg
 photo IMGP6570_zps1c56ecda.jpg
Out of "Durbar Square" with just one or two other people around
 photo IMGP6571_zps07d3defa.jpg
 photo IMGP6572_zps5d701143.jpg
Busy it is
 photo IMGP6573_zps4a46e641.jpg
 photo IMGP6574_zps9f6d64e1.jpg
And everything well organized, ahem!
 photo IMGP6575_zps42b2c2e3.jpg
 photo IMGP6576_zpsa41e4ac2.jpg
Also the sidewalks are used to offer and sell fresh, hopefully, fruits and vegs!.
And I´am sure, this is a well tax paying business here!
 photo IMGP6577_zps8511625f.jpg
 photo IMGP6578_zps25321f5d.jpg
I like to be back at Boudha during daylight, but the first two taxistas are not willing to drive me "home". Why?. I don´t know, but finally another one with an as close to clean Maruti like the first one does!.
And finally ready to be back at Boudha where the old women coming into town, selling fresh veg´s and also prepare the butter lamps for the night around the Stupa
 photo IMGP6579_zps7ba7a27e.jpg
 photo IMGP6581_zpsdfa47587.jpg
A fresh nights sleep to follow, amazing to feel how warm it is by day in sunlight and how fast it goes cold in the evening. And when you have these fresh shower in the very early morning there is simply no need for something else to be awake with all you´re senses!.
Time now to head for the airport, there is a Visa limit to observe!.

KTM (Tribhuvan International Airport
त्रिभुवन अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विमानस्थल)
IST (İstanbul Atatürk Havalimanı)

Service TK 727 operated by Turkish Airlines
Scheduled:  08.45  //  12.40

There is just one and also the one and only possible connection to fly out of Kathmandu in the morning and reach the homebase in the evening, what is also necessary this time.
The fare jumped up a good couple of Euro´s after my first check and some more again after the inbound flights are fixed.
"Life punishes those who come too late", not originally me, but fit´s perfectly here. But anway, it´s time to visit Nepal during the short phase of the year with mostly clear sky and stable weather conditions.
And I told you, the weather conditions are perfect also today and the sky is as blue as ever possible and the mountains are coming as close as ever possible but wait,
we should check-in first!.
And just to let you know, OLCI is something for the far future ex KTM.
Fly.de fixed the ticket. Two legs on the confirmation and the fare is 335.00 Euro´s per leg.
And there is a long, a really long, an astonishing long queue to pass security with all luggage screened at the terminal entrance.
Well guided and not in any case oldfashioned or even outdated, no way!
 photo IMGP6589_zps50240886.jpg
 photo IMGP6590_zps77f0fbb1.jpg
Interesting destinations on the screen and well, my grandfather, he passed away a long time ago, operated a nursery and trust me, that´s immediate on my mind when I´am inside these built of bricks terminal
 photo IMGP6591_zps63493b92.jpg
 photo IMGP6592_zpsc5fa9fb6.jpg
Some ten minutes at security, after another one at passport check and I´am in the gate area.
Just for a view around, Jet and Oman are really here not only on the screen!
 photo IMGP6594_zps92955d3c.jpg
 photo IMGP6595_zpsc4740a9c.jpg
And a couple of Jetstream´s in and out surrounded by the bright morning sun
 photo IMGP6596_zps2672b62f.jpg
 photo IMGP6597_zps21e4e801.jpg
The terminal is well, local, styled!.
There is a lounge on offer, sure, but not used with the stunning scenery around
 photo IMGP6599_zpsd6c3d48b.jpg
 photo IMGP6600_zps761678d3.jpg
Till the big bird coming in
 photo IMGP6601_zpsea720df9.jpg
 photo IMGP6602_zps0f7db4ab.jpg
Oh, yes, looking good in the early morning sun

 photo IMGP6607_zpscb50f658.jpg
 photo IMGP6608_zpsa6a400ce.jpg
And a new crew takes over
 photo IMGP6609_zps320f14d8.jpg

Offloading tons of cargo
 photo IMGP6620_zps41e38785.jpg
 photo IMGP6621_zps6309bb89.jpg
Looks like good biz here for TK, especially also from the cargo point of view
 photo IMGP6622_zps22ce718b.jpg
 photo IMGP6624_zpsd030a696.jpg
Well, not sure if it really works that fast this way
 photo IMGP6625_zps3bdb6e32.jpg
 photo IMGP6626_zpse57ec0b3.jpg
Ahem, with a little help from my friends everything works perfectly here!
 photo IMGP6627_zps9088ff72.jpg

Oman still on the tarmac
 photo IMGP6633_zpsdf05cdef.jpg

Gate 5 for "Sanliurfa", well, I should check this out soon!
 photo IMGP6635_zps01d1e77c.jpg
 photo IMGP6636_zps38b41722.jpg
Do not be afraid, come closer please!
 photo IMGP6637_zps94bbe52f.jpg
 photo IMGP6638_zps3f14e257.jpg
Sure, I prefer boarding by airbridges, you know, so much more comfortable than walking around the apron till maybe also...
 photo IMGP6639_zpsf5d4202d.jpg
 photo IMGP6640_zps5565227f.jpg
...under the wing, you know!
 photo IMGP6641_zps7ce78bb6.jpg
 photo IMGP6642_zps0760249f.jpg
Under the big birdie wing, you know
and this machine is by far the largest equipment here
 photo IMGP6643_zps0ed8a4b8.jpg
 photo IMGP6644_zps358e9a5a.jpg
And also for me, it´s time to go now
 photo IMGP6645_zpsabae5f6e.jpg
 photo IMGP6646_zps1522fda0.jpg
With the locals also on travel
 photo IMGP6647_zpsd5632da0.jpg
 photo IMGP6648_zpsc63222c1.jpg
Ok, this is TC-JNK, the A330-300 like on schedule
 photo IMGP6649_zps91b2cb61.jpg
 photo IMGP6650_zpsa73837b1.jpg
New to the log and leg no. 9 on type.
In service since 30.11.2010 with TK. 13 examples are in the fleet and there are no stories to show here
 photo IMGP6651_zps42529012.jpg
 photo IMGP6652_zps717d4368.jpg
Well, after these interesting apron boarding procedure and my time in Boudha and Kathmandu at all, is there something more worth a picture coming up?
 photo IMGP6653_zps64f8f289.jpg
 photo IMGP6654_zpsf242f38f.jpg
Oman also on the go
 photo IMGP6655_zps15a36088.jpg
 photo IMGP6656_zpsa3b587e8.jpg
If someone need´s a Beech?
 photo IMGP6657_zps7fa80829.jpg
 photo IMGP6658_zps4dd80bf6.jpg
09.30 am, 45 minutes late by "Turkish", 7.25 hours, really?. Really!. Ok now I know that I´am really just a little bit further away from the homebase and for the 3050 meters runway "Two-Zero" right now.
12 degrees, clear sky, not a single cloud to see all around.
Cockpit crew is from Turkey. The FO is on the mike while the "Kaptan" fixing some preparations on the ground with a really nice welcome. He is later to hear nice and short during the approach.
Routing is Lucknow-Delhi-Lahore-South of Kabul-Mashad-Baku-Tiflis-Batumi-Samsun at 36000-38000 till 40000 feet.
And now it´s our turn for the runway. Good to know that the runway end is not visible from this point of view
 photo IMGP6659_zpse48bd4ba.jpg
 photo IMGP6660_zps6eb9aae2.jpg
Backtracking
 photo IMGP6661_zps0bfcdadb.jpg
 photo IMGP6662_zps0952167a.jpg
Turning
 photo IMGP6663_zps8ecaf22a.jpg
 photo IMGP6664_zps5d692a5f.jpg
And well, imagine an LCY style departure on a widebody jet.
Engines spooling and spooling and spooling till the brakes are finally released
 photo IMGP6665_zpsdd2260fa.jpg
 photo IMGP6666_zpsd0eb6b6f.jpg
There is no straight way out of the valley and with all the mountains around we should turn for the first of a thousand circles immediatelly after lift off
 photo IMGP6667_zps4288512c.jpg
 photo IMGP6668_zps33dd3432.jpg
Slowly climbing with circle after circle
 photo IMGP6669_zpse449583b.jpg
 photo IMGP6670_zps936d9898.jpg
Mountain peaks this way
 photo IMGP6671_zpsede1ac2d.jpg
 photo IMGP6672_zpsb4f337ac.jpg
And well, just by surprise, mountain peaks also this way
 photo IMGP6673_zpsede69592.jpg
 photo IMGP6674_zpsb989f953.jpg
There are mountains all around and with the ongoing circles really good to follow
 photo IMGP6675_zpsa88f733e.jpg
 photo IMGP6676_zps8d3a5a58.jpg
Finally circled?
 photo IMGP6677_zpsb1d559cb.jpg
 photo IMGP6678_zps2db63bf1.jpg
No, absolutely no way!
 photo IMGP6679_zps9d02738b.jpg
 photo IMGP6680_zpsa09148a8.jpg
With the airport and the Kathmandu valley down there
 photo IMGP6681_zps45b29448.jpg
 photo IMGP6682_zps88b3c762.jpg
Right above the runway
 photo IMGP6683_zps2522df86.jpg
 photo IMGP6684_zpsc12b2084.jpg
And one more circle to go
 photo IMGP6685_zpsc9e379c5.jpg
 photo IMGP6686_zpsdf710c14.jpg
And trust me, I never noticed such a number of people glued to the window taking pics and vids.
And trust me, too, there is simply nothing to hear beside the "Ahh´s" and "Ooh´s" from the pax at the window seats and do not talk about the disappointed faces with the pax in the middle compartment.
I also had an interesting conversation with an well travelled english guy, so it seems, also on the picture track right beside me in the terminal and he confirmed: "I have never done such a huge number of pictures within two weeks time beside in Nepal"
 photo IMGP6687_zpsda6cfea1.jpg
 photo IMGP6688_zps299429fb.jpg
The snow covered peaks in the bright sun
 photo IMGP6689_zps33b760c6.jpg
 photo IMGP6690_zpsbf54514d.jpg
And just for a change a circle in the other direction
 photo IMGP6691_zps701c2dde.jpg
 photo IMGP6692_zps43b5a0b3.jpg
Yeah, that´s what I´am looking for
 photo IMGP6693_zps930200e7.jpg
 photo IMGP6694_zpscc3f27f5.jpg
More?. Sure!
 photo IMGP6695_zpscfdf2385.jpg
 photo IMGP6696_zps95bce6ce.jpg
Some of the highest peaks of the world around me, I love it!
 photo IMGP6697_zpscbca0b7c.jpg
 photo IMGP6698_zpsa043967a.jpg
And a couple more
 photo IMGP6699_zpsbb3841f2.jpg
 photo IMGP6700_zps53222374.jpg
I hope you will not get bored, the big ones
 photo IMGP6701_zps290d8536.jpg
 photo IMGP6702_zps4b342bb4.jpg
That´s the way to go in daylight all along the whole Himalaya mountains at my side, of course!
 photo IMGP6703_zpsedf2e481.jpg
 photo IMGP6704_zpsc238ca13.jpg
A thousand pictures more, well, no problem till the memory card collapses. It works, also the camera and mobile, thanks god
 photo IMGP6706_zpsf5610318.jpg
 photo IMGP6707_zps6280110e.jpg
Stunning, isn´t it?
 photo IMGP6708_zpsdba0738d.jpg
 photo IMGP6709_zps333b00ca.jpg
The nice guy I´am, ok hope so, changed even my seat for a couple of minutes with a nice, young, south asian woman,
India, lovely, to give her the chance for some pictures.
Well, there is also another job to go. What about the legroom with the mixed green fabric seats?. Clean so far and it is acceptable in the end
  photo IMGP6710_zps4cc8315e.jpg
 photo IMGP6711_zps225a006c.jpg
The load is 90%. The whole mountaineer/trekking crowd, you know these kind of people, large, slim, suntanned from anywhere around Europe and also the States, just a few locals and well me, doesn´t fitting really in this combination!.
Anyway, 39K, the last row window and two for me suits me well, also this time. The safety card and some seat details
 photo IMGP6712_zps2c473ab1.jpg
 photo IMGP6713_zpsf4c4d221.jpg
The cabin maybe and where are these mountains coming from?
 photo IMGP6714_zpsff50ab63.jpg
 photo IMGP6715_zps070bd8ee.jpg
There is a young turkish woman serving my seat.
Large, slim, black hair with a really nice welcome and also talking on the way.
TK service start´s here
 photo IMGP6716_zpsd69948c2.jpg
 photo IMGP6717_zpsb442ea22.jpg
And so it looks like en detail and it also seems not local Nepalesi style, more inbound from Turkey
 photo IMGP6718_zpsd9a7da6c.jpg
 photo IMGP6719_zpsf399c48b.jpg
Good for me, at least right hand side!
 photo IMGP6720_zps7929ff42.jpg
 photo IMGP6721_zps13e02ccf.jpg
Some strange curving short to Afghanistan. Who knows why?
 photo IMGP6722_zpseb86eb56.jpg
 photo IMGP6723_zps1b442581.jpg
And the scenery down there above Afghanistan is definitely interesting, too
 photo IMGP6724_zps50bad135.jpg
 photo IMGP6725_zps08631244.jpg
And the Caucasus do not want to stand back
 photo IMGP6726_zpsaf78947f.jpg
 photo IMGP6727_zpsadcbd32f.jpg
Some snack on service while we reached the black sea close to Batumi/Georgia
 photo IMGP6728_zps811bc16e.jpg
 photo IMGP6729_zpsb0aafaff.jpg
And the final cabin view short to "İstanbul Atatürk Havalimanı"
 photo IMGP6730_zps47e926cc.jpg
 photo IMGP6731_zpsd2effe8d.jpg
That´s the way to go
 photo IMGP6732_zpse9a75bb4.jpg
 photo IMGP6733_zps87f718f7.jpg
Not that there is something interesting in between!
 photo IMGP6734_zpsa1a14a12.jpg
 photo IMGP6735_zpsde0bb75a.jpg
Touchdown at the 2580 meters runway "Zero-Five" at 17 cloudy and wet degrees.
And we need ages on taxi, waited at the outer taxiway till a truck picked us up and draws us for a parking position directly in front of the TK technic hangars.
It´s finally 01.30 pm, 50 minutes late and imagine the impatient pax, tough job for the cabin crew, till we finally disembarked in the rain.
Some problems or as scheduled?. Who knows, but anyway a special experience
 photo IMGP6736_zps02f2d5d5.jpg
 photo IMGP6737_zps957e219c.jpg
There is something missing here!
 photo IMGP6738_zpsc6bee8fb.jpg
 photo IMGP6739_zps129c79f0.jpg
Transfer security is well used but anyway not a real problem this time of the day.
Done within ten minutes and onward for the next flight!.

Safely reached IST and there is the usual leg to come again!.
The Tripreporter
