Well, I left you after our arrival at the "Vancouver Coal Harbour Seaplane Base".
The place with the marvellous views to this marvellous city
and that´s also the scene where I should go further right now.
A nice chinese guy working the Harbour Air shuttle bus called for a cab with our hotel not en route and not that long thereafter we are at the Skwachays Healing Lodge.
This is an official project of the Vancouver Native Housing Society to create jobs for the local First Nations community and also the place to stay for us this night
Sure ok to stay here and also with this background
Close to the entrance for Chinatown, really interesting
But also close to Downtown Eastside and this is also interesting, but not in a real positive way.
This part of the city is known as Canada's poorest postal code and I´ve never seen such a number of junkies hanging around. I feel so sorry with all these people.
Also the local chief and believe me it was the chief, heavy, long white hair, sitting beside the middle aged woman at the hotels desk and checking what´s going on at the first nations art gallery, recommended to walk some blocks up the street till turning right and once again right for Gastown what is in theory not that far behind the hotel
It´s me, ok I´am not in shoe business, at least not till now!

Where you feel like in China, veg, yes, or fishy items, no, no way!
Back for business after a good nights sleep.
There is no restaurant here, but Tim Horton´s is just around the corner

Looks like special isn´t it?. While we waited for the local cabby to shuttle us for the air or better said seaport!

A real beaver was also on the way but I was to slow with the camera.

Built in 2001, now this is a pretty young example in comparison to the other seaplanes around this trip

Nanaimo here we come
Ahem, it feels like just a little bit awkward when you see the well known "Nanaimo Harbour Water Airport" scenery and notice that we don´t do the final descent. No, we fly along the harbour and the facilities.
Is there something wrong here?.
Not that really. It´s just the case that Seair has it´s own terminal at Nanaimo and this is located somewhat further down the coastline. Not that I´ve really noticed it before

True, we are no Canadians, but also true, we are no real extraterrestrians!.
And thats exactly what it feels like when we talked to the woman working the Seair desk.
We arrived right now on the flight from Vancouver and should do another one from Nanaimo but on Harbour Air.
Is it possible to walk there?.
Well, she insisted that we better take a cab. It´s possible to walk but it´s a good way along the main road. It doesn´t look like that far from the air.
But ok, take a cab this way and lucky us, she really called a cab and not the police to catch us!.
